Possible Causes
Old grease trapped under heater guard, Food residue in hidden crevices, Filter (if fitted) saturated with odours
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps to remove odours:
- Deep clean: Remove basket and drawer and wash thoroughly. Wipe all accessible interior surfaces with warm soapy water.
- Clean heater guard: Once cool, gently brush the heater guard and surrounding area to remove baked-on grease.
- Odour cycle: Run the empty fryer at 180–200°C for 10–15 minutes with a small bowl of water and lemon slices in the drawer (if safe for your model) to help neutralise odours.
- Filter replacement: If your Beko model has an odour filter, replace it according to the manual.
