Safety first: Do not carry the hot basket by a loose handle; it may detach and cause burns.

Inspection and tightening:

• Allow the basket to cool completely.
• Inspect the handle mounting screws on both sides of the handle where it attaches to the basket.
• Tighten any loose screws with the appropriate screwdriver.
• If the plastic around the screws is cracked or the threads are stripped, the handle or basket frame may need replacement.

Replace a damaged basket handle assembly or entire basket if the handle cannot be securely fastened.
