Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed convection fan, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector on PCB, Faulty fan driver circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Never put fingers or tools near the fan while the unit is plugged in.

Mechanical inspection:

  • Remove the basket and look up toward the top of the cooking cavity. Check if the convection fan blade is visibly damaged, bent, or obstructed by food debris.
  • From the top or rear (after removing screws), access the fan motor assembly. Try gently spinning the fan blade by hand with the unit unplugged. It should rotate freely without grinding.
  • Clean any built‑up grease or burnt food from the fan blades and surrounding shroud.

Electrical checks:

  • Locate the fan motor connector on the control PCB and ensure it is fully seated.
  • Inspect the fan motor wires for cuts, burns, or pinched sections.
  • If you have a multimeter and the wiring diagram, you can check for proper voltage at the fan motor terminals when the unit is commanded to run (this should only be done by someone comfortable working around live voltage).

If the fan is mechanically stuck or the motor windings are open (no continuity), replace the convection fan motor assembly. If the motor tests good but E6 persists and the fan never receives power, the control PCB fan driver is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
