Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before removing the control panel. Do not pry aggressively on the glass or plastic front; it can crack.
Panel access:
- Remove the screws securing the control panel bezel to the housing.
- Carefully tilt the panel forward to expose the ribbon cable or wiring harness connecting it to the main PCB.
- Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable, ensuring it is fully seated and locked in its connector.
Inspect for contamination:
- Look for signs of liquid spills, steam, or grease on the back of the touch panel and on the PCB.
- Gently clean light contamination with a dry cloth or a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a swab. Allow to dry completely.
If E9 persists and the panel remains unresponsive, either the touch panel assembly or the main control PCB is defective. On many Bella models, these are sold as a combined module; replace the assembly according to the service instructions.
