Possible Causes
Basket not fully inserted,Faulty basket/door microswitch,Unresponsive Start button on touch panel,Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before internal inspection.
Steps to resolve no-start condition:
- 1. Confirm basket position: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket/drawer until it is fully seated. Ensure no foil or food is caught in the rails.
- 2. Check for error icons: Some models show a door/basket icon if not detected. If present, suspect the basket microswitch.
- 3. Test other buttons: If only the Start button is unresponsive but temperature/time buttons work, the touch control panel may have a failed key area.
- 4. Access and test microswitch: With the unit unplugged, remove the side or bottom cover to reach the basket switch. Manually press it and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace if faulty.
- 5. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel fascia and reseat the ribbon cable between the touch panel and main control PCB.
If the interface and switch test good but the unit still will not start, the main control PCB may require replacement.
