E7 appears and the fan does not run, or the unit shuts off shortly after starting.

Steps to diagnose fan-related E7 errors:

• 1. Listen for fan operation: When starting a cycle (before unplugging), note whether you hear the fan start. A humming sound without airflow suggests a stuck motor.
• 2. Access the fan: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the top of the cooking chamber to locate the fan guard. On some models, you can remove the guard screws to access the fan blades; on others, you must remove the rear cover to reach the fan motor.
• 3. Check for obstructions: Inspect for loose screws, warped guards, or food debris contacting the blades. Remove any obstruction and ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
• 4. Inspect wiring: With the rear or top cover removed, locate the convection fan motor and its connector to the main control PCB. Reseat the connector and check for damaged wires.
• 5. Test the motor: If you have a multimeter, measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the fan motor assembly if seized or open.
• 6. Evaluate the control board: If the motor is good but never receives voltage during operation, the fan driver circuit on the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
