Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool completely before accessing the fan.

Steps:

1. Listen for fan: During operation, you should hear a steady fan noise. If silent, suspect the fan circuit.
2. Visual check: Remove the basket and look up at the fan through the heater guard. Check for visible obstructions or heavy grease.
3. Access fan: Remove the top or rear cover to reach the convection fan motor and impeller. Clean off grease and debris with a degreaser and soft brush.
4. Spin test: Gently spin the fan by hand. If stiff or seized, the motor bearings may have failed; replace the motor assembly.
5. Electrical test: Check continuity of the motor windings and verify the connector is firmly seated on the control board.

Note: Do not operate the air fryer with a non‑functional fan; overheating and fire risk increase significantly.
