E06 appears and the air fryer will not start; sometimes accompanied by beeping when inserting the basket.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before manipulating internal switches.

Simple checks:

• 1. Basket insertion: Remove the basket and pan, then reinsert firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no food debris is preventing full insertion.
• 2. Inspect basket rails: Check the side rails and bottom guides for warping or obstructions. Clean any grease or crumbs that may prevent the basket from sliding fully home.

Switch inspection (advanced):

• 3. Locate microswitch: With the unit unplugged, remove the outer housing as needed to access the basket/door detection microswitch, usually near the front where the basket handle engages.
• 4. Check actuator: Verify that the plastic actuator lever or tab moves the switch when the basket is inserted. If the tab is broken, the chassis or basket assembly may need replacement.
• 5. Test switch: Disconnect the switch and test continuity with a multimeter while pressing the actuator. The switch should change state (open to closed or vice versa). Replace if it does not operate reliably.
• 6. Wiring: Inspect the two or three wires leading to the switch for loose connectors or damage. Reseat connectors firmly.

Note: Bypassing the safety switch is not recommended; it can create a burn or fire hazard. Always restore proper safety interlock function.
