Possible Causes
Incorrect NTC sensor value for model, Sensor wiring extended or modified, Control board firmware mismatch, Sensor partially shorted due to moisture
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains and allow to cool.
Steps:
- 1. Check for recent repairs: If the temperature sensor or control board was recently replaced, verify that the correct Bosch part numbers were used. Using a non‑matching NTC can cause E10.
- 2. Inspect sensor harness: Ensure the sensor wires are not pinched, spliced, or extended. Any modification can change resistance and calibration.
- 3. Dry the sensor: If the unit was washed aggressively or exposed to steam, moisture may have entered the sensor well. Allow the unit to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry environment.
- 4. Replace sensor: If E10 persists and the sensor reading is unstable, replace the NTC sensor with the exact Bosch‑specified component.
- 5. Firmware / board: In rare cases, a mismatched or corrupted control board firmware can cause calibration errors. Replacement of the control board may be required via Bosch service.
