Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool.

Steps:

1. Confirm source: Remove the basket and run briefly to confirm the squeal comes from the fan area, then unplug.
2. Access motor: Open the housing to reach the fan motor. Spin the shaft by hand; a squeal or roughness confirms bearing wear.
3. Temporary relief: In some cases, a tiny amount of high‑temperature‑rated lubricant on the shaft (outside the motor housing) can reduce noise, but this is temporary and not manufacturer‑approved.
4. Permanent fix: Replace the fan motor assembly with a Bosch‑compatible part. Reuse the fan blade if it is in good condition.

Note: Continued use with worn bearings can lead to motor seizure and overheating.
