Possible Causes
Faulty power outlet, Damaged Chefman power cord, Open internal fuse on control board, Loose AC input wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always unplug the unit before opening any covers. Do not bypass fuses with wire or foil.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another appliance and verify the circuit breaker is not tripped.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, frays, or burn marks. If damaged, replace the entire cord.
- Internal fuse: Remove the bottom or rear cover and locate the inline or PCB-mounted fuse near the AC input. Test for continuity with a multimeter. If blown, investigate for shorts before replacing with the same rating.
- AC wiring: Ensure the live and neutral wires are firmly attached to the control board terminals and not loose or burnt.
- Control board: If the fuse and wiring are good but the unit remains dead, the main control PCB power supply is likely failed and should be replaced.
