Possible Causes
Worn touch membrane, Moisture under panel, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before removing the control panel.
- Clean and dry: Wipe the panel surface and allow it to dry completely if recently cleaned with liquid.
- Test multiple keys: Note which keys fail; if an entire row or column is dead, suspect ribbon cable or PCB.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Open the control housing and reseat the flat cable between the keypad and control board.
- Replace keypad: If specific keys are permanently unresponsive, replace the touch control panel/keypad assembly.
