Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed fan blades, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer. Do not attempt to spin the fan while the unit is powered.

  • Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and look up toward the fan. Use a flashlight to inspect for food debris, foil, or warped plastic obstructing the fan blades. Remove any obstructions carefully with a wooden or plastic tool.
  • Spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently spin the fan blades by hand (from the top if accessible). They should rotate freely. If they are stiff or jammed, the motor bearings may be seized.
  • Inspect wiring: Remove the housing to access the fan motor. Check the motor connector at the control board and at the motor itself. Reseat any loose plugs and look for burnt or discolored wires.
  • Voltage test: During a cook cycle (live voltage test—only for trained persons), check for supply voltage at the fan motor leads. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, the motor is defective. If no voltage is present, the control board fan driver is likely faulty.
  • Replace components: Replace the fan motor assembly if seized or non-functional. Replace the control PCB if it is not supplying power to a known-good motor.
