Possible Causes
Stuck touch key, Moisture on control panel, Damaged touch membrane, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: Wipe the touch panel with a dry, lint-free cloth. If you recently cleaned it with liquid, allow it to air dry for several hours.
- Power reset: After drying, plug in and test. If F1 persists, continue.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Check for physical damage: Look for cracks or bubbles in the touch membrane. If any keys appear permanently pressed or the membrane is damaged, the keypad assembly must be replaced.
- Replace control interface: If reseating cables does not help and the membrane looks intact, the interface PCB or main control PCB may be faulty and should be replaced as a unit.
