Possible Causes
Unit recently completed a high-temperature cycle and has not cooled, Blocked exhaust vents, Faulty high-limit thermostat stuck open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool completely before further troubleshooting.
- Cool-down period: Leave the fryer unplugged for 20–30 minutes to allow internal temperatures to drop. Plug back in and try again.
- Check placement: Ensure the fryer is not placed against a wall or under low cabinets that trap heat. Provide adequate airflow around the unit.
- Clean vents: Inspect rear and bottom vents for dust, grease, or obstructions. Clean with a soft brush and vacuum if necessary.
- Thermostat check: If H1 persists even when the unit is cold, the high-limit thermostat may be stuck open or misreading. Access the thermostat near the heater and test continuity at room temperature; it should be closed. Replace if open.
