Basket is difficult to insert or remove; it sticks or jams in the housing.

Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before forcing the basket.

• Step 1 – Clean rails and tracks: Remove the basket and drawer. Clean the side rails and bottom tracks thoroughly to remove grease and burnt food.
• Step 2 – Inspect for warping: Check the basket and drawer for warping or deformation. If they no longer slide straight, replace the basket and drawer assembly.
• Step 3 – Check latch: Inspect the latch mechanism on the handle and the mating part in the housing. Ensure the spring and catch move freely.
• Step 4 – Do not force: Forcing a jammed basket can damage the basket detection switch and housing. If alignment cannot be restored, replace the basket assembly.
