Possible Causes
Convection fan motor not running, Fan blades obstructed by debris, Loose fan motor connector, Failed fan driver circuit on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before accessing internal components.
- Step 1 – Listen for fan: Start a cook cycle and listen closely. If you do not hear the usual fan noise, or it starts then stops, E7 is likely related to the fan.
- Step 2 – Inspect for obstructions: Remove the basket and look up at the fan behind the guard (if visible). Check for food pieces, foil, or other debris blocking the blades.
- Step 3 – Access fan assembly: Remove the rear or top cover to reach the fan motor and blades. Carefully remove any debris and ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Locate the fan motor connector on the main control PCB. Reseat the connector and inspect for burnt pins or damaged wires.
- Step 5 – Test fan motor: With a multimeter, check the fan motor winding resistance (refer to service data if available). An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Step 6 – Replace components: Replace the convection fan motor assembly if seized or open. If the motor is good but not receiving power, replace the main control PCB (fan driver failure).
- Do not operate without fan: Running the heater without a working fan can cause overheating and fire.
