Possible Causes
Corrupted control firmware, Loose display-to-main-board ribbon cable, Faulty touch control panel, Failed main control PCB microcontroller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening any covers.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Unplug the Cosori air fryer for at least 10 minutes to fully discharge internal capacitors. Plug back in and test.
- Step 2 – Check for moisture: If the unit was recently cleaned aggressively or exposed to steam, allow it to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry area, then test again.
- Step 3 – Inspect control connections (advanced): Remove the front or top panel to access the control interface board and main control PCB. Check the ribbon cable or harness between them. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Step 4 – Look for damage: Inspect both boards for burnt components, corrosion, or liquid damage. Any signs of liquid ingress usually require board replacement.
- Step 5 – Replace boards as needed: If reseating cables does not clear E8, replace the control interface board (keypad/display). If the fault persists, replace the main control PCB.
- Firmware: Some Wi-Fi–enabled Cosori models may support firmware updates via app; check Cosori support before replacing boards.
