Possible Causes
Basket not detected by microswitch, Faulty Start button or touch sensor, Broken basket latch actuator, Control PCB logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before mechanical inspection.
- Verify basket position: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket/drawer. Ensure it is fully closed and latched.
- Check for error icons: Some Crux models show a basket icon if the drawer is not detected. If present, focus on the basket switch.
- Inspect basket switch: Access the front frame and locate the basket detection microswitch. Test continuity when the drawer is fully inserted. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Test Start button: For physical buttons, check for a positive click and continuity when pressed. For touch panels, reseat the ribbon cable to the main PCB.
- Control reset: Unplug for 10 minutes to reset the control. If still unresponsive, the control PCB or touch panel may need replacement.
