Display shows incorrect time or temperature compared to what was set; settings change unexpectedly.

Safety first: Unplug before opening control panel.

• Dry and clean panel: Wipe the control surface dry and remove any grease or residue.
• Reset unit: Unplug for 10 minutes to clear any temporary logic errors.
• Inspect encoder: For models with a knob, check that it is not loose or physically damaged. Replace the encoder if it skips or jumps values erratically.
• Check ribbon cable: Reseat the cable between the control panel and main PCB.
