Possible Causes
Failed heater relay or triac on main PCB, Broken solder joint on heater terminals, Damaged heater wiring harness, Internal PCB trace open in heater circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer. Internal components operate at mains voltage; only proceed if you are experienced with appliance repair.
- Confirm symptom: Start a cycle (if possible) and verify that the fan runs but no heat is produced and E6 appears. Then unplug and open the housing.
- Inspect heater wiring: Check the harness from the PCB to the heating element for loose connectors, burnt insulation, or broken wires. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Check heater continuity: With the heater disconnected, measure resistance across its terminals. If the heater is open, replace the heating element assembly.
- Inspect PCB heater relay: On the main control PCB, locate the heater relay or triac (often near the heater connector). Look for cracked solder joints, burn marks, or bulging components. Reflow cracked solder joints if you are qualified, or replace the PCB.
- Replace PCB if needed: If wiring and heater test good but E6 persists, the main control PCB is defective and should be replaced with a Crux-compatible board.
