Possible Causes
Seized or obstructed fan, Failed fan motor, Broken fan blades, Fan connector loose or damaged on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Do not operate the air fryer with a non-functioning fan, as this can cause overheating.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the heater/fan assembly. Ensure no food pieces, foil, or foreign objects are jammed in the fan guard.
- Spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently spin the fan blades through the guard using a non-metallic tool. The fan should rotate freely. If it is stiff or scraping, the motor bearings may be failing or debris is lodged behind the guard.
- Inspect fan wiring: Open the housing and locate the fan motor connector on the PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and that the wires are not cut or pinched.
- Test motor (advanced): Disconnect the fan motor and measure its resistance. An open circuit or very low resistance may indicate a failed motor. Replace the fan motor assembly if defective.
- After replacement: Reassemble, ensuring the fan spins freely and the guard is correctly positioned. Run a short test cycle to confirm E7 is cleared.
