• Step 2 – Clean cavity: Wipe interior walls and ceiling with a mixture of warm water and mild detergent. Avoid soaking electrical components.
• Step 3 – Deodorize: Place a small oven-safe dish with a mixture of water and a few tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar inside. Run the air fryer at 300°F for 10–15 minutes, then let sit closed for another 15 minutes.
• Step 4 – Inspect basket coating: If the basket or tray coating is heavily scratched or sticky, consider replacing the air fryer basket or crisper tray.
