Possible Causes
Worn fan motor bearings, Bent or cracked fan blades, Grease buildup on one side of fan, Loose fan mounting nut
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Do not insert tools into the fan area while connected to power.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect through cavity: Remove the basket and look up at the fan. Check for loose screws, warped blades, or foreign objects.
- 2. Access fan assembly: Remove the top cover to expose the fan and motor.
- 3. Check fan nut and screws: Ensure the central nut holding the fan to the motor shaft is tight. Tighten gently; do not overtighten and strip threads.
- 4. Clean blades: Remove grease and debris from the fan blades to restore balance. Use a mild degreaser and a soft brush, avoiding water on the motor.
- 5. Test motor bearings: Spin the fan by hand. If it feels rough, wobbly, or has excessive play, the motor bearings are worn and the motor assembly should be replaced.
