How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Daewoo air fryer and let it cool. Heating components can remain hot even if they are not glowing.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm symptom: Set the fryer to a high temperature (e.g., 200°C) and start a cycle. If after 3–5 minutes there is no warmth from the exhaust and the element never glows, proceed.
- 2. Access heater: Remove the top cover to expose the heating element and its terminals.
- 3. Check wiring: Inspect the spade connectors and wires going to the heater. Tighten or reseat any loose connectors. Replace any burnt or brittle wires with high-temp cable.
- 4. Test heater continuity: Disconnect one heater lead and measure resistance across the element. An open reading indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- 5. Check thermal fuse: Locate the thermal cutoff in the heater circuit and test for continuity. Replace if open, and investigate ventilation and fan operation to prevent repeat failure.
Note: If both heater and thermal fuse test good, the issue may be with the relay or triac on the main PCB that drives the heater.
