Possible Causes

Blocked air vents, Failed cavity fan motor, Stuck relay on main PCB keeping heater on, NTC sensor out of calibration reading too low

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely. Do not operate with covers removed.

Steps:

  • 1. Check ventilation: Ensure the Daewoo air fryer has at least 10 cm clearance on all sides and that rear and bottom vents are not blocked by walls, cloths, or other appliances. Clean dust from vents with a soft brush.
  • 2. Clean internal airflow path: Remove the basket and drawer. Inspect the air outlet holes and intake grills inside the cavity. Remove built-up grease and food debris that may restrict airflow.
  • 3. Verify fan operation: With the unit reassembled, plug in and start a short cycle while observing through the rear or top vents. You should hear and feel the fan running. If the fan is not spinning or is very weak, unplug and inspect the fan motor and blades for obstructions or damage.
  • 4. Inspect fan motor: Remove the top cover to access the fan. Check that the blades spin freely by hand. If stiff, noisy, or seized, the fan motor assembly should be replaced.
  • 5. Check for stuck heater relay (advanced): With the unit unplugged, visually inspect the main PCB. If a relay appears heat-damaged or contacts are welded closed, the heater may stay on too long. Relay or PCB replacement is required; this is best done by a technician.
  • 6. Sensor calibration issue: If the fan and vents are fine but E3 persists, the NTC sensor may be reading too low (thinking it is cooler than it is). Replace the sensor if it shows abnormal resistance compared to specifications.

Warning: Persistent overtemperature faults can be a fire risk. If you cannot confirm proper fan operation and heater control, discontinue use and seek professional service.
