Possible Causes

Blown thermal cutoff fuse on heater bracket, Repeated overheating due to blocked vents, Poor contact at thermal fuse terminals, Incorrect replacement fuse previously installed

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Daewoo air fryer and allow it to cool completely. Overheat components may still be very hot.

Steps:

  • 1. Check ventilation and usage: Ensure the unit is not pushed against a wall and that vents are clear. Avoid covering the top or rear during use.
  • 2. Access thermal fuse: Remove the top cover to locate the thermal fuse, usually a small cylindrical component in heat-resistant sleeving attached to the heater bracket or cavity wall.
  • 3. Test continuity: With the fuse disconnected from the circuit, measure continuity across it. If open, it has blown and must be replaced.
  • 4. Replace with correct part: Install a thermal fuse with the same temperature rating and current rating as specified for your Daewoo model. Crimp or spot-weld connections; do not solder directly to the fuse body as heat can damage it.
  • 5. Investigate cause: A blown fuse is a symptom of overheating. Confirm that the fan runs properly and that the NTC sensor is functioning to prevent repeat failures.

Warning: Never bypass the thermal fuse. Doing so removes a critical safety layer and can lead to fire.
