• 1. Check basket insertion: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket/drawer until it clicks fully into place.
• 2. Listen for click: Slowly insert and remove the basket while listening for a distinct click from the internal microswitch. No click suggests misalignment or failure.
• 3. Access switch: Remove the side or front panel (depending on model) to locate the basket safety switch near the front opening.
• 4. Inspect actuator: Ensure the plastic lever or metal tab that the basket presses is not bent or broken. Adjust gently so that the basket fully depresses the switch.
• 5. Test switch: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the switch and test continuity while pressing it. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
