Possible Causes

Basket not fully inserted, Faulty drawer safety switch, Defective start button on control panel, Control board logic failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the housing. Do not bypass safety switches for normal operation.

Step 1 – Check basket position

  • Remove and firmly reinsert the basket and pan until you hear or feel a click.
  • Some Dash models will not start unless the drawer is fully seated.

Step 2 – Try different settings

  • Set a temperature and time, then press start.
  • If the display changes but nothing starts, note whether any error icons appear.

Step 3 – Test drawer safety switch (advanced)

  • Unplug and open the housing.
  • Locate the drawer safety microswitch near the front where the basket slides in.
  • Press the switch by hand and listen for a click.
  • Test continuity with a multimeter; it should change state when pressed.
  • If the switch is faulty, replace it with a compatible microswitch.

Step 4 – Control panel and board

  • If the switch is good, the issue may be with the start button or control board.
  • Inspect the control panel ribbon cable for damage and ensure it is fully seated on the board.
  • If the start button does not register presses (no beep or display change), the control panel or main board may need replacement.
