Possible Causes
Faulty power outlet, Damaged power cord, Blown internal fuse, Failed main control board power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from power before opening the unit. Do not attempt repairs if there is visible melting or charring on the cord or plug.
Step 1 – Check outlet and breaker
- Test the outlet with another appliance.
- Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets.
Step 2 – Inspect power cord and plug
- Look for cuts, frays, or kinks in the Dash power cord.
- Check the plug for discoloration or looseness in the outlet.
- If damaged, replace the power cord assembly.
Step 3 – Internal fuse and board (advanced)
- Unplug and remove the housing.
- Locate the internal line fuse on or near the control board.
- Test the fuse for continuity; replace with the same rating if open.
- If the fuse blows again immediately, there is a short on the board or wiring that must be diagnosed.
- If the fuse is good but the board shows no signs of life, the control board power supply is likely failed and the board should be replaced.
