How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before adjusting internal switches. Do not bypass safety features for regular use.
Step 1 – Check drawer fit
- Ensure the basket clicks firmly into place.
- Look for gaps between the basket front and the air fryer body.
Step 2 – Inspect latch and actuator (advanced)
- Open the housing (unplugged).
- Locate the drawer safety switch and the plastic or metal tab on the drawer that actuates it.
- Check if the tab fully depresses the switch when the drawer is closed.
Step 3 – Adjust or replace
- Gently bend the actuator tab if it is slightly out of alignment (only small adjustments).
- If the microswitch does not change state when pressed, replace it.
- If the basket front is warped and not reaching the switch, replace the basket assembly.
