Possible Causes
Loose fan blade, Debris caught in fan, Worn fan motor bearings, Loose internal mounting screws
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before inspecting. Do not touch moving parts while the unit is running.
Step 1 – Identify noise source
- Listen to determine if the noise is from the top (fan area) or base (motor/control board).
Step 2 – Check for loose parts
- Remove basket and pan and gently shake the unit (unplugged). If you hear something rattling, there may be a loose screw or component.
- Look up at the fan; check if the fan blade appears loose on the motor shaft.
Step 3 – Remove debris
- Use a flashlight to inspect the fan area for food pieces, foil, or plastic.
- Remove debris with a non-metallic tool.
Step 4 – Tighten and replace components (advanced)
- Open the housing and check all mounting screws for the fan motor bracket and heating element bracket; tighten as needed.
- If the fan blade is cracked or wobbles on the shaft, replace the fan blade or entire fan assembly.
- If the motor makes grinding noises even when spun by hand, replace the fan motor.
