Possible Causes
Loose power cord connection, Overheating internal components, Failing thermal fuse or thermostat, Cracked solder joint on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspection. Allow it to cool if it has been running.
Step 1 – Check external connections
- Ensure the plug fits snugly in the outlet; try a different outlet if necessary.
- Avoid using extension cords or power strips.
Step 2 – Ventilation and placement
- Make sure the air fryer has several inches of clearance on all sides.
- Do not operate under low cabinets where heat can build up.
Step 3 – Internal inspection (advanced)
- Open the housing (unplugged).
- Inspect the thermal fuse and high-limit thermostat for signs of heat damage.
- Check the control board for dull or cracked solder joints, especially at the power input and relay pins.
- Gently wiggle connectors while the unit is unplugged to ensure they are secure.
Step 4 – Replace suspect components
- Replace any discolored or heat-damaged thermal devices.
- If moving the cord or board causes power to flicker (tested carefully with the unit reassembled and plugged in), the control board or cord should be replaced.
