Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before opening. If the unit was dropped, inspect the exterior for cracks or exposed metal.
Step 1 – Reset and re-seat
- Unplug the unit for 10–15 minutes.
- Plug back in and test. If E8 persists, continue.
Step 2 – Internal inspection (advanced)
- Remove the housing screws and carefully separate the shell.
- Check all wiring harness connectors between the control board, temperature sensor, thermal fuse, and fan motor.
- Firmly press each connector into place; look for any that have pulled partially out.
- Inspect the NTC sensor near the heater to ensure it is still firmly attached to its mounting point and not dangling.
Step 3 – Check safety thermostat
- Locate the small disc-shaped safety thermostat on the heater bracket.
- Test for continuity at room temperature; it should be closed. If open, replace it with the correct Dash-rated part.
Step 4 – Control board inspection
- Examine the control board for cracks or broken solder joints, especially if the unit was dropped.
- If you see physical damage, replace the control board.
If you are not comfortable opening the unit, contact Dash support or a professional technician, especially if the error appeared after physical impact.
