Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on PCB, Faulty power cord, Failed main control PCB power supply, Defective on/off switch or touch power circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is unplugged before opening. Do not attempt repairs if you are unfamiliar with mains voltage safety.
Basic checks:
- Outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another appliance. Check your home's circuit breaker or fuse.
- Power cord: Inspect the cord for visible damage. If damaged, replace the cord assembly; do not tape or splice.
- Internal fuse: Remove the housing and locate the small glass or ceramic fuse on the main PCB or near the power entry. Test for continuity with a multimeter. If blown, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault.
- Control board: If the fuse is intact and the outlet is good, the power supply section of the main PCB may have failed. Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors. Replace the main control PCB if defective.
Warning: Never bypass or up-rate the internal fuse. It is a critical safety component.
