Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstruction in fan blades, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool.
Steps:
- Confirm symptom: Start a short cycle and listen closely. If you hear the heater but no fan noise, stop the cycle and unplug.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the fan guard area for food pieces or warped plastic. Remove any debris.
- Access fan: Remove the rear/top cover to expose the fan. Spin the blades by hand; they should move freely. If stiff, the motor is likely bad.
- Electrical test: Measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Control board: If the motor is good, check the fan connector and the PCB for damage. Replace the main control PCB if it is not supplying power.
