Possible Causes
Partially failed heating element, Low mains voltage, Failing relay contacts causing voltage drop, Heavy grease buildup on heater and fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool before cleaning or disassembly.
Steps:
- Check loading: Avoid overfilling the basket. Large loads or dense foods require more time.
- Clean heater and fan: Remove the basket and carefully clean the heater guard and surrounding area to remove grease and carbon buildup that insulates the element.
- Test outlet: If possible, measure voltage at the outlet or try another circuit. Low voltage can reduce heating performance.
- Inspect element: Look for dark, pitted areas on the element that may indicate partial failure. If one section does not glow (on models where the element is visible), replace the element.
- Relay and wiring: Check heater relay and wiring for signs of overheating. Replace the main PCB if relay contacts are burnt.
