Possible Causes
Unresponsive start key on touch panel, Faulty basket/door safety switch, Control PCB not recognizing key input, Software lock (child lock) enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before internal inspection.
Troubleshooting:
- Check display messages: Look for icons indicating child lock or door open. Disable any lock function per the user manual.
- Basket fully inserted: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket until it clicks. Many models will not start unless the basket switch is engaged.
- Test other keys: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the touch panel may have a localized failure. Clean the panel surface and try again.
- Inspect basket switch: Access the basket detection microswitch and test it with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state when actuated.
- Control board: If the switch and panel are good, the main PCB may not be processing the start command and should be replaced.
