Possible Causes

Weak heating element, Faulty NTC sensor reading too high, Poor door/basket seal causing heat loss, Control PCB not driving heater at full power

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before internal checks.

Steps:

  • Check loading and preheat: Ensure you allow the air fryer to preheat if the recipe or program requires it. Overloading the basket can prevent the unit from reaching set temperature.
  • Inspect basket fit: Confirm the basket/drawer closes fully and sits flush. Bent rails or debris can prevent a proper seal, causing heat loss.
  • Clean interior: Heavy grease buildup on the heater and fan can reduce heat transfer. Clean the heater guard and interior surfaces with a non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Test heater output: Run the unit empty at maximum temperature for 5–10 minutes and feel for strong hot air at the exhaust (without touching metal parts). Weak heat suggests a failing element or power control issue.
  • Internal testing: Check heater resistance and thermal fuse continuity as in E5. If these are normal, the NTC sensor or control PCB may be misreading temperature and should be tested/replaced.
