Possible Causes
Moisture under control overlay, Worn membrane switch, Loose ribbon cable to main board, Damaged touch PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the fryer before accessing the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and test the buttons again.
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front/top panel to expose the keypad or touch PCB and its ribbon cable.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Gently unplug and reinsert the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board. Ensure it is fully seated and locked.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or liquid traces on the keypad PCB. Dry carefully and allow to air dry fully before reassembly.
- If specific buttons remain dead: The keypad membrane or touch PCB is likely faulty. Replace the control panel/keypad assembly.
