Safety: Unplug the air fryer before accessing the control panel.

Steps to improve or repair display:

Check viewing angle and lighting: Confirm the dimness is not due to extreme viewing angle or bright ambient light.
Access display board: Remove the necessary screws to access the front control panel and display module.
Reseat connectors: Unplug and replug the display connector or ribbon cable to ensure a solid connection.
Inspect solder joints: Look for cracked or dull solder joints at the display pins. If you are skilled with soldering, reflowing these joints may restore function; otherwise, replace the display/control board.
Replace display module: If the display remains dim or segments are missing, replace the display or entire control panel assembly with a compatible Farberware part.

Note: The fryer may still operate with a dim display, but setting accurate time and temperature becomes difficult.

Display is very dim, flickers, or segments are missing, but the unit still heats.
