Steps to address timer inaccuracy:
- Verify symptom: Compare the fryer timer to a reliable clock over a 10–15 minute period.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and retest. Some timing issues are transient.
- Inspect control board: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the main PCB for obvious damage or corrosion.
- Replace control board: If the timer remains significantly inaccurate, the timing circuit or microcontroller is likely faulty. Replace the main control PCB.
Note: Timer drift is not user-adjustable on most Farberware models.
