Possible Causes
Burned-out fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Loose fan motor wiring, Failed fan driver circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. The fan area near the heater can be very hot.
- Step 1 – Listen for fan: Start a cycle and listen for the fan. If you hear only clicking or humming, the fan may be jammed or failing.
- Step 2 – Inspect for obstructions: Remove the basket and look at the fan guard. Check for food pieces, parchment paper, or foil blocking the fan.
- Step 3 – Access fan motor: Remove the rear or top cover to reach the fan assembly. Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is secure on both the motor and control board ends.
- Step 5 – Test motor: With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Step 6 – Control board: If the motor is good but never receives power, replace the main control board.
