Possible Causes
Unresponsive Start button on touch panel, Basket not fully inserted triggering safety interlock, Failed control panel PCB, Faulty basket micro-switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal switches or boards.
- Step 1 – Confirm settings: Ensure a temperature and time are selected and the door/basket is fully closed. Some models require pressing Start firmly for 1–2 seconds.
- Step 2 – Check basket insertion: Remove and reinsert the basket/drawer firmly. Listen for the click of the safety switch.
- Step 3 – Clean touch panel: Wipe the control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove grease or moisture that may interfere with touch sensitivity.
- Step 4 – Test other buttons: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the touch panel or keypad may be faulty and require replacement.
- Step 5 – Basket switch test: Access the basket micro‑switch and test it with a multimeter while operating the drawer. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
