Possible Causes
Failed heating element, Blown thermal fuse, Open high-limit thermostat, Burnt heater relay contacts on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Burn and Shock Hazard: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool before servicing. Heating components can retain heat.
- Step 1 – Confirm symptom: Run the unit for 3–5 minutes and check for warm air at the exhaust. If the fan runs but no heat is felt, the heater circuit is suspect.
- Step 2 – Access heater assembly: Remove the rear or top cover to expose the heating element and its wiring.
- Step 3 – Visual inspection: Look for breaks or burn marks on the heating element and check for loose or discolored connectors.
- Step 4 – Test continuity: With a multimeter and the unit unplugged, test the heating element, thermal fuse, and high‑limit thermostat for continuity. Replace any open components.
- Step 5 – Control board relay: If all heater components test good, the heater relay on the control board may be defective. Replace the main control board if the relay does not energize during a heat cycle.
