Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main board, Moisture or grease on touch panel, Failed touch control PCB, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or front bezel. Avoid touching exposed circuitry with wet hands.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Unplug the air fryer for 10 minutes to allow the control to fully discharge. Plug it back in and test. If E8 returns, continue.
- Step 2 – Clean the panel: Wipe the touch panel with a slightly damp, non‑abrasive cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly on the panel; spray onto the cloth first. Dry thoroughly.
- Step 3 – Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel or top cover to access the control panel. Locate the flat ribbon cable connecting the keypad/touch PCB to the main control board. Reseat both ends by gently unplugging and reinserting them.
- Step 4 – Check for corrosion: Look for signs of moisture damage or corrosion on the connectors and PCB. If present, the keypad or main board may need replacement.
- Step 5 – Replace faulty board: If reseating cables does not clear E8, replace the touch control PCB first. If the problem persists, replace the main control board.
