How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before removing the control panel.
- Check power: If the entire display is dim, verify mains voltage and inspect the power supply section of the main PCB for bulging capacitors.
- Ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and reseat the display ribbon cable between the display module and main board.
- Inspect solder joints: Examine the display connector and driver IC solder joints for cracks. Reflow solder if you are experienced, or replace the control panel PCB.
- Replace display: If only certain segments are missing and the module is cracked or heat-damaged, replace the LED/LCD display module.
