Possible Causes
Basket not fully inserted, Faulty basket detection microswitch, Defective door latch mechanism, Touch panel START key failure, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before internal checks.
- Basket position: Remove and reinsert the basket firmly until it clicks. Ensure no accessory or parchment paper is preventing full closure.
- Listen for click: When inserting the drawer, listen for a faint click from the internal microswitch. Absence of a click may indicate a misaligned or broken actuator.
- Test START button: Try other buttons. If only START is unresponsive, the touch control panel may be faulty. Lightly clean the panel surface and test again.
- Microswitch test: Access the basket detection microswitch and test continuity while actuating it. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
- Control board: If all switches and panel keys test good, the main control PCB may not be processing the start command and should be replaced.
