• Inspect power cord and plug: Look for looseness, heat marks, or bent pins. Replace the power cord set if any defects are found.
• Internal connections: Remove the housing and verify that the mains wires are firmly attached to the line filter and main control board terminals.
• Power supply test: With appropriate safety precautions and only if you are qualified, measure the low-voltage outputs from the board (e.g., 5 V, 12 V) while the unit is powered. Fluctuating or low readings indicate a failing switch-mode power supply (SMPS) section on the main PCB.
• Replace board or line filter: If the line filter is burnt or cracked, replace the EMI line filter module. If low-voltage rails are unstable, replace the main control board.
