Display shows E3 and the air fryer overheats quickly or shuts down shortly after starting.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool completely. Overheating can cause burns and fire risk.

• Check ventilation: Ensure the rear and side vents of the Gorenje air fryer are not blocked by walls, cabinets, or objects. Maintain at least 10 cm clearance around the unit.
• Clean air paths: Remove the basket and drawer. Inspect the heater and fan area for heavy grease or food debris. Clean with a soft brush and a slightly damp cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly into the heater area.
• Inspect high-limit thermostat: Access the internal components and locate the small disc-type thermal cut-out / high-limit thermostat mounted near the heater. Check for signs of overheating or discoloration. Some models have a manual reset button—press gently if present.
• Sensor check: Test the NTC sensor resistance at room temperature and compare with service data if available. Replace if readings are out of range.
• Component replacement: If the high-limit thermostat is open and will not reset, replace the thermal cut-out / high-limit thermostat. If overheating persists with clean vents and new sensor/thermostat, the main control board may be failing to regulate power and should be replaced.
